Commitments, Round One: Day 18

Today I tackled commitments.

Anyone who knows me knows that I have a lot of interests.  I love to learn about everything and crave knowledge.

For everything that is actively going on my life though, I probably have a good 10 things in the pipeline waiting to come to fruition.  The ideas are never ending.

When I lived in Atlanta there was a major crazy loopy interchange called “Spaghetti Junction” and that’s pretty much what it looks like in the inner cracks and crannies of my mind.

The thing I have to be careful of is:

a)  the actual timing of when I implement ideas.

2)  making sure I see my commitment through to the end.

iii)  doing things with excellence.

So really this is a humble admitting of my flaws and a realigning of what is on the horizon.

Questions were:  How long do I want to do this for?  Am I still called to this?  Am I doing it well?  Should I begin to place an end date on this commitment?

So I wrote down the things that I have going on vs. the things that I want to accomplish and began to go through those specific questions.  It was good to see that some of them would kind of phase out and make room for others in almost a natural sense.  While other things I need to stop and pray over whether it’s something I need to keep in my life.

Zero waste of time.  It’s definitely a work in progress.
